Homemade Healing & Detox Bath Salts

Bath salts have been known to be an incredible form of relaxation and healing. Whether it's tired muscles or just a bad day, bath salts will help cure your problems and melt them away. Epsom salt has many health benefits including easing stress, relieves pain, helps prevent hardening of arteries and blood clots and removes the toxins from our body. Himalayan sea salt is a powerful detox and with the combination of essential aromatherapy oils and dried flowers, you are guaranteed to feel relaxed, revitalized and detoxed. You can make bath salts to however suits your preference by adding dried flowers, herbs, oats, essential oils plus many more options. Adding color to your baths helps balance your chakras and promotes spiritual healing.

Here are my favorite homemade recipes that are super easy to make:

Detoxing Watermelon Lavender Green Tea Bath Salts

This one is the most detoxing of them all. Not only does green tea detoxify, it also prevents aging, films and balances your skin tone, heals wounds, fight inflammation, improve Psoriasis, treat and prevent acne plus way more incredible benefits. Rose Geranium has a balancing effect on the nervous system, relieves depression, anxiety and stress. I added the remaining stale bits of my DAVIDsTEA Luscious Watermelon for extra detox and the amazing scent. It has honeydew, strawberry leaves and chunks of apple and watermelon so it smells extra amazing.

3 Parts Epsom Salt
1 Part Coarse Himalayan Sea Salt
2 Tablespoons of Green Tea (I get mine from Bulk Barn)
1 Tablespoons of DAVIDsTEA Luscious Watermelon Herbal Fruit Blend
1 Tablespoon of dried Lavender
2 Drop of Rose Geranium Essential Oil
1 Drop of Lavender Essential Oil

*If you want to add some color, add 3 drops of red food coloring for a pink-ish color*

Relaxing Lavender Bath Salts

This recipe is a great one to use before bed. Lavender is a known cure for insomnia and helps calm the nervous system. This is super helpful for those with anxiety problems.

3 Parts Epsom Salt
1 Part Coarse Himalayan Sea Salt
2 Tablespoons of Dried Lavender
2 drops of Lavender Essential Oil

*If you want to add some color, add 1 drop of blue food coloring and 3 drops of red for a purple color*

Revitalizing Citrus Bath Salts

I love using this one for my day baths to wake up and feel refreshed. It automatically puts you in a good mood and makes your body feel rejuvenated.

3 Parts Epsom Salt
1 Part Coarse Himalayan Sea Salt
1 Tablespoon of Orange Rind
1 Tablespoon of Lemon Rind
3 Drops of Ambiance Essential Oil (A balanced blend of Lemon, Grapefruit, Orange, Geranium, Tangerine)

*If you want to add some colour, add 4 drops of yellow food coloring*

So just mix all the ingredients together and you've got yourself some homemade healing and detox bath salts!
