Song of the Week - "Formation" by Beyonce

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

So I'm kinda back from my updating hiatus (if you missed it, Rebel66 will be lacking with updates for the time being as I, Tara, the owner/blogger, am currently back in College studying in 3D Animation and it's quite a big program so the updates will be at a minimal for now. BUT the store is still open and functioning regularly so keep shopping and I have lots of new items waiting to be photographed so hopefully soon when I have some more time, I will launch those bad boys. Stay tuned right here for updates.

Now back to the point, Queen Bey just dropped her new video for the brand new track "Formation" and the fashion featured is the perfect definition of everything Rebel66. It's an incredibly dope track and Beyonce is beyond next level as always. Get into it:

Song of the Week - "The Less I Know The Better" by Tame Impala

Tuesday, December 8, 2015

There's one thing that Tame Impala rules at (other than making music) is making music videos. They are back with yet another wickedly shot video with amazing cinematography called The Less I Know The Better. I am a huge fan of all of their videos especially Let It Happen but this one is sure to get stuck in your head and wanting more. Check it out (after the cut):

We've got a brand new song of the week! This band is one of my favs at the moment and as soon as you play the video, you'll see why. They have such an original sound mixed with really cool southern style vocals. That's why "One Million Lovers" by The Growlers is Rebel66's song of the week! Check it:

Song of the Week - "Love Me" by The 1975

Monday, November 2, 2015

Get ready to get your dance on with this awesome new track by The 1975 called "Love Me". It has a major 80's vibe and reminds us a lot of George Michael at his prime. And I warn you, it'll definitely get stuck in your head. Check it out!:

Song of the Week - "RM486" By Rose McGowan

Tuesday, September 29, 2015

Here is a brand new song of the week for you and it's oddly by your favorite Jawbreaker, Rose McGowan. The styling in this video is beyond epic with the Alexander McQueen feel and I really like how she portrayed all of the different sides of her. It's a great concept and very well executed so definitely check it out. The song is pretty good too. It has a very dark eery tone, kind of like Lana Del Rey mixed with Bjork and even some Die Antwoord.

Song of the Week - "High By The Beach" By Lana Del Rey

Thursday, September 10, 2015

Lana Del Rey just released a new single and it's absolutely perfect. I am in love with her dreamy eery sound and the song gives me some Beyonce/Jay Z Bonnie and Clyde vibes. The video reminds me of Grand Theft Auto V which is awesome because that game is beyond wicked. If you haven't played it, definitely try it out.  In the meantime, check out High By The Beach:

Okay so prepare for Nashville singer-songwriter, That Poppy, to become your new favorite pop star. Check out the video for Lowlife and just watch for the part where she is in the limo... there are definitely some Rebel66 style crushes in there:

Song of the Week - "Better Man" By Leon Bridges - Rebel66

Leon Bridges is exactly what the music world needs. Ever since I was introduced to his music, he has been on repeat. Major Otis Redding/Sam Cooke vibes. Plus his voice is incredible and sounds like velvet. Get into it!
